Wonderful lily place, sadly the musee et restaurant were not open, but the lily ponds and shop were, it was a nice day out, with lunch just around the corner in this wonderful courtyard.
My birthday lily is deep red/black "black princess".......It is now planted in the pot and nestling on a shelf in the pond.

Chardonny and Chalon and llamas!
James and I, with dogs, went into Chalon during Saturday and ran into their Carnival. Lots of lovely old cars, music, very loud, and nice to sit by the river and eat our lunch.
We then made our way up to a llama breeder, J's been there on a course before, and saw a new born llama, very sweet. She has alpaga's also, and they are all very friendly.

Spring has sprung
Spring has sprung in Lezignac, the tulips are all open and the wysteria is looking lovely on the house and on the Gite. Lots of blossom on the cherry tree too and the pond has really come to life with lots of plants and the frogs and fish having a great time. J's face is healing nicely too!! Stitches out later this week.

Montauban Half Marathon 3 April 2011
The out riders
The leader
Me and Elizabeth, my (no longer) virtual running mate, she beat me...!!
K coming in at a great (slow) speed......2.13.
Hey ho, back in the trainers. A good turnout and very well organised, Montauban Marathon, Half and 10km. Nice cool day, although it did get warm at 14k and I felt too hot - had to stop and take on water and food - so I didn't finish in the time I'd have liked. Some good "freebies" at the end, I might just drink some on the red wine that was handed out. I think I deserve it. I met up with Elizabeth Ellis, she lives between Toulouse and Tarbes and we've been "virtual mates" for a while, so that was nice. She's a speedy runner and beat me, of course... I didn't get lapped by a marathon runner, so that was good too. So...............where's the next one???
